GEN 4 CATBUN GUIDE

OVERVIEW

Generation 4 Catbun unlocks at level 134 upon clearing Stage 62-5 and uses completely separate Fruitwood from the previous generation. As a result, there's no need to hoard Cat Fruitwood from earlier gens. SP Strawberry Peach and SP Yellow Peach unlock at Bakery levels 11 and 12, respectively, so it's best to delay fusing until you reach those levels. This new generation has a completely different flavor profile, making it incompatible with previous generations—you'll need to replace your entire roster once it becomes viable. Resource conversion for levelling up parts is around 4:3.

RECOMMENDATION

During this phase, we will be looking at viable Cat Bun types and our recommendations based on class.

SP Yellow Peach Cream

DPS and Tanks are recommended to use the SP Yellow Peach Cat as their main skill. This Cat Bun permanently increases DMG Dealt to the current target by 10%. Every 10 seconds, randomly activate 1 to 3 buffs for 10 seconds from the following: increase ATK by 3.5%, increase Haste by 3.5%, increase Mastery by 3.5%. Increase Accuracy by 1.7% for each buff activated.
This Cat Bun shines the higher its copy level (Evaluation) becomes, starting to shine on Evaluation Blue 4 where it guarantee 2 buff activated, and becomes a permanent fixture for DPS on evaluation Gold 2 where it guarantee all 3 buff activated. Purple 4 also give additional 0.5% Accuracy for every 2 SP Cat Buns equipped when the effect activated.
In total, this will give us permanent 3.5% ATK, 3.5% Haste, 3.5% Mastery, 17% DMG Dealt at Purple 2, and 8.1% Accuracy at Gold 2. The caveat is that the DMG Dealt only works on a single target. This Catbun is good for every content except Wave of Horror.

SP Strawberry Cream

DPS (Wave of Horror) and Healers are recommended to use the SP Strawberry Cream Cat as their main skill. This Cat Bun permanently increases ATK by 14%. For each enemy present, further increase ATK by 4%, up to 3 times. Gains 3 extra stacks when a boss is present.
This Cat Bun is perfect in fights with lots of enemies like Wave of Horror and for Healers in general. This Cat Bun shines the higher its copy level (Evaluation) becomes, starting to shine on Evaluation Blue 4 where it increase the ATK% per stack by 2%, Evaluation Purple 4 where every 2 SP Catbun equipped increase initial and maximums stack by 1,and Gold 2, it increases the ATK by another 2% each stack.
In total, this will give us permanent 21% ATK at Purple 2, at Purple 4 with 1 boss present,. it gives us 6 stack, which is 36% ATK or 48% ATK at Gold 2. On Wave of Horror, it give us max stack of 8, and give us 48% ATK or 64% ATK at Gold 2.

SP Kiwi Cream

This Cat Bun increases ATK by 18%, Gains 1 stack of Dragon Slayer when dealing DMG to Dragon-Type enemies, further increasing ATK by 9%, stacks up to 2 times and lasts until the end of battle with trigger interval of 15 seconds.
This Cat Bun is a good Cat Bun for Dragon, but too conditional for it to be recommended overall.

SP Blueberry Cream

This Cat Bun increases ATK by 21%. After casting a 'counter-measure' skill, increase ATK by additional 15% for 15 seconds. if Interrupted or Dispelled, further increase DMG by 7%.
This Cat Bun is also not recommended due to conditions to achieve it's maximum value.

When to Change ?

We recommend changing the three supporting Cat Buns once a good flavor combination is achieved. If Pink Cheese is below Purple 4, consider changing the Main Cat Bun after reaching Blue 4. If Pink Cheese is at least Purple 4, consider changing it after reaching Purple 4. However, it should only be changed if it completes the flavor bond — otherwise, it's better to stick with Pink Cheese.
