Melomon Exchange Guide for Go Go Muffin
Last updated: 26/4/2025
This is the Advanced Guide for Generation 2 Melomons. These advanced
guides are informational rather than concrete advice as we have not
tested or experienced this content yet.
This guide looks to inform the players of the 5 new Generation 2 Melomons,
their skills and passives, the Generation 1 to Generation 2 Puzzle Piece
Conversion Mechanic known as “Pufu’s Treasure”, Bonus rewards based on
total Melomon Puzzle Pieces owned, and some future insights on how melomon
builds will look post-gen 2 release.
Generation 2 Melomons are unlocked upon reaching CC4 Level 44, upon
clearing Stage 68-21. This new Generation introduces a new Currency
Type to summon these Pets named Beast Bells. With the introduction
of the 2nd Generation also comes an event/occurence named ‘Pufu’s
Treasure’. This new event rewards the player with Gen 2 Legendary
Melomon Puzzle Pieces based on their previously most collected
puzzle pieces. This event is activated upon unlocking Generation 2
Melomon, meaning no one will miss out.
There will potentially be 2 wishlists at once on Cycle 24, 1 guaranteed
server-only like first wishlist (guaranteed), and a global-wide one (not
guaranteed).
The event distributes these new Gen 2 Melomon by providing a “Melomon
Puzzle Selection Box II” out of which they claim 5 puzzle pieces, picking
from 1 of the 5 new generation 2 Melomons.
Generation 1 Melomon Puzzle Pieces are converted at different rates based
on the amount owned.
Starting at 10 puzzle pieces, and for every 5 extra Puzzle Pieces provide
a “Melomon Puzzle Selection Box II”, up to a limit of 75. This totals
14 boxes, or 70 shards towards the new generation.
Past this limit, starting at 85, the conversion requires 10 puzzle pieces
compared to the 5 previously, before rewarding another “Melomon Puzzle
Selection Box II”, up to a limit of 275 Shards. This totals 20 boxes
or 100 shards towards the new generation. Therefore, aiming for 75 shards
is the most efficient breakpoint, but it's recommended to go up tol 145
shards, which is equivalent to level 12 (max) passive.

Players are also eligible to receive extra Beast Bells based on their total amount of Legendary Melomon Puzzle Pieces. A max of 227 Bells can be obtained from this event. But these are not the main goal, and should be treated as a bonus.
Awakened Skill - Feline Dance

3% but resets at the end of the Awaken phase or battle. Stacks up to
4 times.

60% during the first 10 seconds of awakening.

all enemies and Increase all DMG dealt by 8% for 20 seconds. This effect
can be stacked, with the durations calculated separately. This effect
has a 8 second cooldown on activation.
Awakened Skill - One Man Army
Increase all DMG by 60%, taunts all enemies when cast and all enemies
that target the character take 8% more DMG from allies
Passive Skill - Irresistible Force

12% while Awakened. does not stack.
Passive Skill - Therapeutic Inspiration

stack of Encouragement every 10 seconds. Each Stack of Encourage increases
ATK by 2.2% per stack. The maximum extra stacks allowed can be no more
than twice the amount of allies in a party.
Below is an example of how to calculate Encouragement’s max stacks:
In a party with 4 Party Members
4 (Base Stacks) + 8 (4 Members x 2) = 12 Encouragement Stacks (after
80s)
Poet Cat and Fox Shogun are the top DPS melomons of this set, both
cornering a niche for themselves.
Reaching Red Star 3 and Melomon Bonus Level 10 (Level 25 on all Pet Moves)
unleashes Poet Cat's potential and unlocks an infinite awakening uptime.
This allows for a more hands-off playstyle while providing a permanent
boost to dps. Poet Cat also provides a ramping bonus, making it the de
facto used melomon for longer form content (3 minutes or longer). Poet
Cat's bonus effect takes 80s to fully stack.
Fox Shogun is the complete opposite of Poet Cat, taking full advantage
of its passive skill requires the player to manually control the Fox
Shogun for the massive stackable passive buff it provides. Just at level
one passive, at two activations, Fox Shogun provides a whopping 16% DMG
increase while in comparison, Poet Cat will need to take 80s to reach
12% DMG increase. This pet is perfect for those looking to maximize their
damage as it has a higher damage ceiling.
Since Poet Cat's awakening uptime is permanent, that means we can get
extra 10% Mastery, 10% Haste, 10% Determination, 10% Crit permanently.
Picking one or the other is based on preference, although we recommend
Cat as its easier and more consistent to use.
Knight Bunny and Doctor Paw are support melomons used to provide
buffs to the teams, and can be used by tanks and healers
respectively.
Knight Bunny sports a higher than average DMG% buff at its base, taunting
all enemies on cast. All enemies targeting the character receive 8% more
damage from all allies, allowing Knight Bunny to be a great secondary
option for those looking to provide buffs while tanking.
Doctor Paw increases the player's Haste and damage by 30%, while all
allies have their ATK increased by 12% while awakening is active. This
melomon provides the perfect amount of support and haste during phases
that require intense healing.
Poet Cat is recommended over Fox Shogun, but both are equally viable.
Role | Gen 2 Melomon |
---|---|
DPS | Poet Cat / Fox Shogun |
Healer | Doctor Paw |
Tank | Knight Bunny |
These recommendations will be taking generation 3 melomon in to
account for a long term view of melomon progression.
We've split up the recommendations into two sections, one for F2P, those
who could not max out their stack exchange from Pufu's Treasure, and
spenders that could max out their stack exchange.
Generation | Main | Passive |
---|---|---|
Generation 2 | Poet Cat / Fox Shogun | (Poet Cat / Fox Shogun) + Demon Hound + Any (Rabbit > Colt > Raven) |
Generation 3 | Crow | (Poet Cat / Fox Shogun) + Demon Hound + Crow |
Generation | Main | Passive |
---|---|---|
Generation 2 | Poet Cat / Fox Shogun | (Poet Cat / Fox Shogun > Colt > Raven)) + Demon Hound + Rabbit |
Generation 3 | Crow | Face Shift + Rabbit + (Crow / Poet Cat / Fox Shogun) |
